Grassroots Grade 8 Referee Course PART 1 (2019) 
The Grade 8 Referee Course prepare officials for the competitive youth game. It consists of two parts: PART 1: online US Soccer modules and Colorado specific modules. PART 2: On The Field Training You MUST register separately for both portions of the course to complete the requirements AND complete both within 30 days. Course fees are not refundable but may be transferred to a different course within the educational year. THIS COURSE IS FOR PARTICIPANTS 14 YEARS & OLDER
Grassroots Grade 9 Referee PART 1 (2019) 
FOR SMALL-SIDED AND REC YOUTH GAMES ONLY. You must complete the online sessions, pass the test with an 85% to pass PART 1. You MUST complete Part 1 and PART 2 (Field Session) in order to be registered with U.S. Soccer. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD TO TAKE THIS COURSE. All fees are paid upfront and are not refundable. Course registration fees are transferrable to another class within an education year ONLY. PART 1 and PART 2 must be completed within 30 days of registration. PLAN ACCORDINGLY
On Field Training Session (Grade 8 & 9) part 2 
The on field training is required for all new US Soccer Grade 8 referees and Grade 9 recreational referees and consists of 5 hours of practical training in an on field environment, with live game situations as the referee and assistant referee to best prepare you for success as a new referee. Ideally this is completed after your online coursework is complete. Grade 8 Referees must attend a full 5 hour session, Grade 9 Recreational Referees must attend a minimum of the first 3 hours.
"Bridge" Grassroots Grade 9 to Grade 8 Referee course 
This course is designed for Grade 9 Recreational Referees to become Grade 8 Referees. Referee must be at least 14 years old to take this course and have worked at least one season as a grade 9 referee. This online only course requires completion of modules at USSoccer.com and at CoReferees.GameOfficials.net It is equal to 8 hours of classroom coursework.
"Fast Track" Grassroots Gr 8 Referee (Invite) 
This Grassroots Grade 8 Referee course is specifically for those adults who have substantial soccer experience as coach or high level player. It is also for former referees who have lapsed in certification for more than 4 years. Permission is required to take this course. Proof of experience is required.
Grade 8 Lapse in Certification Course 
This course is for referees who have lapsed in certification from 2 to 5 years. Upon completion of this course, the referee will be certified as a Grade 8 referee. This course is available with approval of the State Director of Instruction only and requires an override code. Referees who have lapsed in certification more than 5 years must either take the entry level grade 8 course OR with permission may take the "Fast Track" course.
2019 Grassroots Grade 9 Recertification course 
Annual recertification course for Grassroots Grade 9 Recreational Referees who are younger than 14 years old. Those Grade 9 referees who are age 14 or older are asked to take the Grade 9 to Grade 8 referee bridge course instead of the annual recertification.
2019 Grassroots Grade 8 Recertification 
This is the 2019 Grade 8 Referee Recertification course required annually of all USSF Grade 8 Referees. Certification expires on December 31 of each calendar year. Components of this course include Law Change Review, Important Colorado Referee Information, and the USSF Grade 8 Referee test, which requires a passing score of 85% or better
2019 Grade 7 Recertification 
This is the Grade 7 Referee online recertification course. No fitness test or game assessment is required for this annual recertification. Referees who plan to upgrade to State Referee should also sign up for the Gr 7 "Academy" course to prepare for the State Referee course requirements
Grade 8 to Grade 7 Upgrade 
This is the Grassroots Grade 8 to Grade 7 upgrade course for referees who are regularly working adult matches and high level youth games.. Referees at this level are expected to be able to work as the Center Referee or the Assistant Referee on older age (HS) youth and recreational adult games. Those interested in this course should apply using the online form at ColoradoReferees.com
Grade 7 to Grade 6 UPGRADE Part 1 
This course is the first half of the upgrade course for referees moving from Grade 7 (R1) to Grade 6 (S2) referee. Fees for this course include three assessments in addition to the US Soccer registration fees. Referees taking this course are required to have confirmed they meet game count requirements prior to registering for this course. Required Fitness test fees will be paid separately when the candidate registers for the fitness test. Passing score for the written exam is 85% or better.
Grade 7 to Grade 6 UPGRADE Part 2 
This course is the second half of the upgrade course for referees moving from Grade 7 (R1) to Grade 6 (S2) referee. Fees for this course, include three assessments in addition to the US Soccer registration fees. Only those individuals registered for Part 1 will be registered for this course. Required Fitness test fees will be paid separately when the candidate registers for the fitness test. Passing score for the written exam is 85% or better.
2019 Grade 5 Referee Maintenance PART 1 
This course is the first half of annual recertification / maintenance course for US Soccer Grade 5 Referees. This course includes maintenance assessment fees, registration fees and Those in this course will be placed in part 2 of the annual requirements which includes the 2019 recertification modules and State Referee test which must be passed with 85% or better. An annual fitness test is also required for registration to be complete. Fitness test fee is not included in this course payment.
Grade 6 / 5 maintenance PART 2 
This course is part 2 of the annual recertification / maintenance course for US Soccer Grade 6 and 5 Referees. Maintenance assessment fees, and registration fees are paid in PART 1. Course requirements include the State Referee test which must be passed with 85% or better. An annual fitness test is also required for registration to be complete. Fitness test fee is not included in this course payment.
Grade 6 Maintenance PART 1

Additional Required Assessment 
This course is to allow referees to pay for an additional required assessment through CoReferees.GameOfficials.net. Cost varies based on assessment level required. Emeritus Referee (Nat'l & State) Maintenance (2019) 
Annual registration and recertification for National Emeritus and State Emeritus referees
Fitness Test 
Participants must choose to run either Grade 6/5 maintenance/upgrade or FIFA Mens Category 1 REFEREE test for leagues requiring fitness standards (PDL, USL, etc.) The fitness test consists of the required sprints and intervals laps set for your referee grade/or upgrade. Grade 7 referees may come to train/practice prior to taking their official upgrade test. Test fee includes cost of the test administrators, athletic trainer/medical staff, and facility costs & is non-refundable.

2019 New Instructor Course 
Online training modules for new referee instructors who will teach primarily the new Grassroots Grade 8 & 9 courses. In addition to the online work the instructor candidates must attend, observe and assist in running an on field training session to complete the instructor training.
